For Healthy Eyes
We offer the following suggestions to keep your eyes healthy and your vision intact:
Be sure to have regular eye exams and screenings to detect any potential problems with your vision, even if you don’t wear glasses or contact lenses.
Make sure your diet includes such foods as nuts, raisins, prunes and blueberries. Eat eggs, vegetables such as spinach, and seafood that contains Omega-3 fatty acids to keep your eyes healthy.
Supplement your diet with niacin, calcium, selenium, zinc and vitamins A, C, D and E.
Protect your eyes by wearing glasses, reading in well-lit areas, and avoiding smoky environments.
Same-day and emergency appointments are available for your convenience. We welcome new patients and most insurance plans. If you have questions, need directions to our office, or would like to schedule a vision exam for yourself or a family member, please call 586-263-5000 or click here.
